PHOENEEX Project

The PHOENEEX project will address the ever increasing demand for compact energy systems for portable devices.

Looking at mobile energy sources for such things as mobile phones, the PHOENEEX project will have a hypothesis that the combination of novel precursor materials, new methods for 3D polymer microfabrication and optimised pyrolysis processes will allow for fabrication of 3DCMEs (3D carbon microelectrodes) with highly tailored material properties.

It is being co-ordinated with an ERC consolidator grant at The Technical University of Denmark and will also address the limitations currently being encountered with compact sustainable energy platforms for portable devices.
